When nature meets innovation at Federation’s regional campuses
Ballarat.
Ballarat is the largest inland city in Victoria. Famous since the 1850s, when the Victorian gold rush drew people from all over the world, Ballarat today is a happening, economical and relaxed regional city with a fast-growing and increasingly multicultural population of over 100,000. Just an hour on the train from Melbourne, Ballarat is also within easy access of the beautiful sights of the Grampian Mountains and the Great Ocean Road.

Today, Federation is a central focus of the city, with major campuses and strong connections to local industry, culture and community. The flagship Mt Helen Campus is set on 110 hectares of natural bushland, combining a beautiful location with cutting-edge teaching and research facilities. Ballarat’s schools, hospitals and businesses, including multinational companies such as IBM and Concentrix, offer great placement and employment opportunities for Federation students and graduates.
